To infinity and beyond! When theAtelier des Lumières teams up with the Centre National d'Études Spatiales (CNES), the result is Destination Cosmos, the ultimate challenge: immersive evenings that take us to the stars. Sound familiar? This space program was broadcast during the All Saints and spring vacations. Visiting slots were soon fully booked: this is your chance to see or revisit this exceptional exhibition, if you missed out last time! From July 1 to July 30, 2022, during the first month of the summer vacations, theAtelier des Lumières will be showing a canonical projection recounting the conquest of space and the challenges faced by mankind. These nocturnes plunge our heads into the stars through an immersive journey that begins in French Guiana, in the heart of the rainforest. From there, we embark for the cosmos, amidst planets, nebulae and supernovas.
We find ourselves criss-crossing the canyons of Mars among the rovers in a Mad Max-style setting, before discovering Jupiter and its winds of up to 1,450 km/hour. Then it's off to Saturn's rings, before leaving the Milky Way to venture further and further into the immensity of the universe in a crazy sound and light adventure!
One by one, planets, stars and satellites are revealed before our very eyes. The history of the conquest of space tells the story of mankind's greatest achievements, highlighting those who have broken the ultimate barrier: space. Immersed in these breathtaking scenes, always lulled to sleep by a playlist specially composed for this exhibition, we travel and dream at theAtelier des Lumières. An experience not to be missed!
