When major brands tell the story of design... Prisunic returns to Paris with an exhibition on"the history of design for all" at the Musée de la ville de Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, from September 16, 2022 to January 7, 2023. Entitled Prisunic, design for all, the exhibition focuses on two brands - Prisunic, then Monoprix - that have democratized design, and traces"the creative and committed adventure" that is Prisunic, within the permanent collections.
You may have had the chance to see this exhibition a few months ago, when it was presented at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. Now it's back, this time in Yvelines, and it's free!
A total of 500 works - including furniture, objects and posters - await the curious, revisiting the store's greatest successes and its collaborations with renowned designers such as Terence Conran, Marc Held, India Mahdavi, Constance Guisset and Ionna Vautrin. These collaborations have extended to graphic designers, photographers and illustrators such as Roman Cieslewicz and Friedemann Hauss, as well as stylists such asAlexis Mabille.
This thematic and chronological exhibition is divided into four areas, and retraces the proposals that have shaped the brand's history: products, strategies, marketing, distinctive features... Prisunic has made its mark thanks to bold choices that have left their mark.
A wonderful exhibition on the world of supermarkets, to be discovered as a matter of urgency.
