No vacation planned outside Paris this winter? Don't worry, the Musée des Arts Décoratifs has prepared something to keep young and old busy with special tours and creative workshops to discover with your family! Based on the theme of its current exhibitions, the Little Prince, Thierry Mugler and Prisunic, the museum has come up with workshops for all ages, at the price of 12 euros per participant, which appeal to our imagination.
Two types ofworkshops are proposed, those for families where adults and children follow a visit in the museum, before going to the workshop to share a time of plastic creation, or workshops for 4-6 years, 7-10 years or 11-14 years, without parents.
Moreover, during the February vacations of 2023, many exhibitions are still on display at the Museum of Decorative Arts. We count Années 80 (until April 16, 2023) or, Elsa Schiaparelli (until January 22, 2023), where we highly recommend you to visit, even with the little ones!
Fantastic Bestiary
Fantastic animals populate the collections of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. In a workshop, everyone can imagine their own hybrid animal.
Bijou en folie!
The museum's collections are so many images to divert for the realization of a jewel full of humor and fantasy. Crazy plastic, colored pencils, beads and rhinestones are assembled to create a brooch or a pendant.
Knights, Queens and Emperors
The emblems of strength and power are to be found in the collections of the Museum of Decorative Arts for the creation of a coat of arms with a personal coat of arms.
My book of wonders
An earthenware cabbage, a chest of drawers with bear paws, a cradle, we make strange encounters in the museum. The workshop proposes the creation of an album directly inspired by the discovery of the museum's historical galleries, using collage and drawing.
My eco-friendly object
During the visit through the design collections, children are made aware of the environmental issue in the design of everyday objects. Following in the footsteps of designers, they are invited to recycle and divert natural and used materials to create a storage object.
Tam Tam Totem
The discovery of the 80's exhibition inspires children to build a small piece of furniture with geometric shapes, flashy colors and graphic patterns.
Paper Trophy
Wolf or dove, animals populate the museum's collections. They are to be found and interpreted in a workshop to create a paper mural sculpture.
A dragon on my plate
From medieval dragons to Chinese porcelain, the dragon motif adorns many objects in the Museum of Decorative Arts. It's up to each of us to put some fantasy on our plate.
A well-crowned head
Symbols of power or love, representations of crowns are to be found in the museum's collections for the realization, in a workshop, of a golden crown or flowers according to the children's choice.

Brico words
In the manner of graphic artist Étienne Robial, young visitors explore the elementary shapes and colors of the color wheel. Using a variety of objects, they look for new combinations to build and dance the letters of the alphabet.

A Thousand and One Asian Patterns
Motifs from Asia are to be found in the decor of the museum's works. In the workshop, they are extended to the line, interpreted with colored ink for the realization of a beautiful color chart.
