No, you are not dreaming, you did see giant bears, gorillas and wolves in Paris… The Faubourg Saint-Honoré area is invaded by Richard Orlinski’s sculptures – one of the most influent contemporary artists at the moment. From June 9 to July 9, 2022, downtown Paris is turned into an open-air zoo. Beware predators…
The sculptor displayed three of his creations in different streets of the 8th arrondissement, on the place de la Concorde, the place de la Madeleine, and rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré. This exhibition, set on the initiative from the Comité du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, brings an unexpected and colorful touch to these historic neighborhoods.
Therefore, enjoy a bear and two majestic and huge gorillas, all majestic and impressive. These bright colored animals seem to have been sculpted in gemstones, or made of paper, like origamis. Orlinski’s style is easily recognizable and has become his trademark. We must say the artist manages to convey strength and striking emotions, obliging respect and leaving no one untouched.
Furthermore, you will surely recognize these beautiful animals if you regularly come to Paris: from December 2021 to February 2022, the artist displayed several of these monumental sculptures on the Champs-Elysées and the avenue Georges V!
In this new open-air tour, enjoy five spectacular sculptures, some of them being up to five-meter tall and weigh up to 500kg! Beautiful creations to enjoy in the Parisian sun for free! You do not want to miss this gorgeous open-air exhibition.
