The works on display also highlight the influence of Egyptianart and culture on the sculptor's work: in his way of representing bodies, in the lines, shapes, and subjects of his works, Auguste Rodin let this "Egyptian being" speak for itself, following him in all his projects.

Passionate about history and the great civilizations of the past, such as Greece, Asia and the Middle Ages, Auguste Rodin developed a particular love for Egypt. He gradually assembled an impressive collection ofantiquities and monumental works, which can be found today in the Rodin Museum.

The Dream of Egypt exhibition allows us to admire these different works so admired by the artist. The exhibition also highlights the great literary, scientific, historical and artistic figures who have contributed to makingancient Egypt popular in France.
