The theme is loosely based on the film La Belle et la Bête by JEAN COCTEAU, one of the most charismatic French artists of the 20th century, who enchanted the avant-garde of his era, and beyond, with his ever-magical formula...

"Open sesame!"

Some twenty artists offer cross-disciplinary interpretations of this universal and fantastic myth, through a variety of contemporary artistic practices: Painting, Photography, Sculpture, Drawing, Fiber Art, Installations, Videos, Digital Images, Illustration, as well as Voguing, Soundscapes, piano improvisations, text readings... Curated byIsabel Bertelot.

An opportunity to discover Les Frigos, with its water tower, a legendary site in the 13th arrondissement of Paris.

L'Aiguillageis an emblematic venue on the Paris cultural scene, founded in 1995 by Corinne Bertelot, photographer and resident artist at Les Frigos, a famous creative and production site in the 13th arrondissement of Paris.

Transforming her photo studio into an exhibition space dedicated to the visual arts and to artistic and cultural events, she joined forces with her sister Isabel, a visual artist and artistic co-director, to bring the Aiguillage Association to life.
Over the past three decades, l'Aiguillage has presented over 1,000 artists through eclectic exhibitions that aim to reach a wide audience while raising societal issues.

The association stands out for its openness to creators from all horizons, while showcasing the talents of Frigos through individual and group exhibitions.

Far from being a simple exhibition space, L'Aiguillage also positions itself as a committed player, regularly collaborating with social and humanitarian associations such as Médecins Sans Frontières, Observatoire International des Prisons, Greenpeace, Act Up and Refugee Food, to raise awareness of important causes.
