In recent months, the arrival of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games has inspired numerous exhibitions in the capital, at the Louvre, the Palais de la Porte Dorée and the Musée des arts décoratifs. For the duration of the competition, Unesco will be displaying a photographic archive on the outside railings of its Maison, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the past and history of the Olympics, through the opening and closing ceremonies!
In partnership with the Olympic Museum and the IOC,"Cultures at the Games" runs until September 15, 2024, an exhibition that is an ode to diversity, inclusion and culture, showing the evolution of this ceremonial through the decades. From portraits of athletes to parades of nations and global celebrations, these vintage photographs aim to give us hope, in chaotic times, of a world where it's possible to live in peace, with others and their differences.
