Mark your calendars - Japanese brand MUJI has teamed up with Studio 5-5 designers for an original collaboration, dubbed MUJI-MUJI, to be presented at Paris Design Week 2024, running from September 5 to 14. This major design event, held annually in Paris, highlights innovative trends and emerging talents, transforming the capital into a free, open-air artistic and creative experience!
This year, MUJI takes up residence in the heart of theHôtel d'Albret, a magnificent listed townhouse in the Marais district, to unveil a manifesto house and a unique collection of ready-made objects. MUJI-MUJI presents a series of do-it-yourself detour based on the brand's emblematic objects. These creations, staged by designers Claire Renard and Jean-Sébastien Blanc, question our consumption patterns, while advocating a more sustainable approach.
Since the 1980s, MUJI, from the Japanese "Mujirushi Ryohin" meaning "unbranded quality products", has been offering a sober alternative to the big, dominant brands. Its varied ranges - from furniture to clothing to stationery - are designed to fit seamlessly into everyday life. A commitment to the essential that finds a new echo in this bold collaboration with Sudio 5-5.
