From November 8, 2024 to February 9, 2025, the Palais de la Porte Dorée will be hosting a gigantic exhibition in all its rooms. Don't miss "Every Life is a Story".

From November 8, 2024 to February 9, 2025, the Palais de la Porte Dorée presents a truly original exhibition. An exhibition that tells a thousand stories, a thousand lives. In all areas of the Palais de la Porte Dorée, from theaquarium to the Musée national de l'histoire de l'immigration and the historic halls, we'll discover a host of contemporary artistic creations that tell us about the past, the present and the future.

The Chaque vie est une histoire exhibition brings together 200 lives, 200 perspectives. Art, history and simple witnesses of the present meet in this iconic venue in the 12th arrondissement. These stories question individual and collective memory, anonymity and invisibility, and the importance of restoring an identity to these transient humans, to these stories.

The exhibition is divided into two parts. The first features works by 13 international contemporary artists. Through installations, sculptures, drawings and films, the artists tell the story of the Palais de la Porte Dorée and its visitors.

Created for the 1931 International Colonial Exhibition, the Palais has had many identities, many missions. The artists of the present revive those of the past, those who occupied this former museum of arts and civilizations. These successive identities are brought back to life through contemporary creations. The artists also give pride of place to the beating heart of the Palais de la Porte Dorée: the people who work here, and those who visit. Men and women, young and old, are at the heart of this exhibition: they are the guardians of the Palais' memory and identity.

Memory and identity are also explored in other ways. On the museum's floors, artists take an interest in the stories, histories and invisible lives of migrants. Testimonies and artistic creations come together to shed light on these human beings between two lands, between past and future.

The Palais de la Porte Dorée presents an unusual, XXL exhibition, an encounter with others, their individuality and their richness.
