" Bodies and Souls " is the name of the new exhibition at the Bourse de Commerce. On view from March 5 to August 25, 2025, this major new exhibition will explore the significance of the body in contemporary thought. To this end, the leading museum dedicated to contemporary art will be showcasing works by some twenty artists from the Pinault Collection.
FromAuguste Rodin to Georg Baselitz, not forgetting Michael Armitage, Ana Mendieta, Miriam Cahn, Marlene Dumas, David Hammons and Kerry James Marshall... the " Corps et âmes " exhibition will also unveil the work of Zimbabwean painter Kudzanai-Violet Hwami, American Mira Schor and Deana Lawson. This Brooklyn-based American artist and photographer will be taking over Galerie 3 at the museum for the occasion, exhibiting several of her works for the first time in France.
Visitors can also immerse themselves in the history of the struggles of the 1960s through works by Duane Hanson, Philip Guston and Richard Avedon. There will also be a focus on video artist and director of photography Arthur Jafa. Lebanese artist Ali Cherri is invited to take over the windows of the Passage de la Bourse de Commerce.
Whether photographed, sculpted, drawn, filmed or painted, the body never ceases to reinvent itself. This is what the Bourse de Commerce will be revealing with its new exhibition, " Corps et âmes" ("Bodies and Souls "). Don't miss it from March 5 to August 25, 2025.
