A poetic blend of art and anatomy in an exhibition... This is what Galerie La Lison has in store for you with Anatonirisme, on view from November 14, 2024 to January 11, 2025. The exhibition highlights the work ofAmaury Grisel, photographer, video artist and visual artist from Montreuil. Through works that combine montages with illustrations from old scientific books, the artist invites visitors to a unique exploration, somewhere between mysticism and poetry. An opportunity to discover creations that oscillate between realism and the unreal.
Amaury Grisel, resident at La Verrière fablab in Montreuil, has been developing a singular practice for several years. He draws on illustrations from books of the XIXᵉ and early XXᵉ centuries to compose intriguing works. These carefully sourced images are reassembled to create conceptual compositions on a variety of media, including wood, glass and stone. According to the artist, " the material gradually merges with the unspeakable ", reflecting an approach that blends aesthetic exploration and playful detour.
The Anatonirismeexhibition offers a plunge into dense, melancholy universes, populated by " monsters, anatomical utopias and chimeras ". Through a dark chromatic range and meticulous work on form, the artist seems to deconstruct the limits of the living and the dream, offering an immersive and unsettling visual experience. An invitation to discover a world where the ordinary blends with the extraordinary.
