New Benjamin Lacombe exhibition in Paris! Galerie Gallimard opens its doors to the famous French illustrator from November 26, 2024 to January 9, 2025. This is an opportunity to discover a series of originals by Benjamin Lacombe from "The Portrait of Dorian Gray", presented for the first time in France.

If you're one of the many admirers of Benjamin Lacombe's work, then the following may well please you! Following exhibitions at Daniel Maghen Gallery and Deyrolle in Paris, the celebrated French illustrator is exhibiting several of his recent gouaches, oils and watercolors at Galerie Gallimard.

Nestled in the capital's 7th arrondissement, this gallery is opening its doors to Benjamin Lacombe, from November 26, 2024 to January 9, 2025, for an exhibition-sale entitled " Papillon noir ".

Papillon noir is also the name of the new collection conceived and directed by Benjamin Lacombe for Éditions Gallimard. The idea? To adapt great literary texts into graphic novels, " blurring the boundaries between book-objects, literature, illustrations and comics ".

" Carmen " (text by Prosper Mérimée), again with drawings by Benjamin Lacombe, and " Les Sorcières de Venise " (text by Sébastien Perez), a futuristic novel illustrated by Marco Mazzoni.

To mark the release of these titles, Benjamin Lacombe is exhibiting several originals at Galerie Gallimard, including his gouaches, oils and watercolors from "Le Portrait de Dorian Gray ". Marco Mazzoni 's colored pencil and Indian ink creations from " Les Sorcières de Venise " are also on display. As the icing on the cake, previously unpublished illustrations by Isabella Mazzanti and Aron Wiesenfeld from forthcoming books in the Papillon Noir collection are also on display at Galerie Gallimard.
