For book lovers, the Night of Literature is an evening event not to be missed, on May 13, 2023! For one evening, some twenty foreign cultural centers in the capital will gather, for the eleventh time, to share the literature of the countries they represent with as many people as possible. This year, the meetings will take place at theSwedish Institute, in the lively Marais district.
From 3pm, you will be able to enjoy signing sessions and readings aloud, but also to buy the works of the invited authors, if you have appreciated their prose. There will also be a space where you can exchange books, to create links with other literary people like you! A Bulgarian choir will be present to arouse your senses and make you discover other horizons, during a musical interlude.
As the Swedish Institute is obliged to do, it is also a question of food, of course, to nourish both the spirit and the stomach! Sweet and savory Swedish specialties will be available. This open-air event, in the garden of the Hôtel de Marle, is the perfect opportunity to broaden your horizons thanks to the twenty or so writers present, including Jonas Karlsson, Afonso Cruz, Erdogan Boz, Billy O'Callaghan, Osvalde Lewat and Ling YU, who will read excerpts from their works in their own language.
