Europa Park is a bit like Nigloland: a family affair. Founded in 1975 by the Mack family, the park, which it still owns, has not deviated from its values and still offers just as many accessible, family-friendly rides. A guiding principle that has paid off, as the theme park has been named "World's Best Amusement Park" on several occasions by the Golden Ticket Awards. A park that is finally reopening its doors, from March 23, 2024 to January 12, 2025.
A seasonal park with several openings spread over the second half of the year... Summer season, Halloween, New Year's Eve... Each season is an opportunity for the park to close between them to prepare for the next. And in recent weeks, the park has been hard at work preparing for the 2024 summer season!
Europa-Park is also a tour of Europe in a single location: France, England, Iceland, Russia, Switzerland... All these zones offer the chance to discover"the architectural, cultural and gastronomic diversity of Europe" through sixteen emblematic and themed districts. In all, some 100 attractions and shows, including 13 roller coasters, enchant young and old alike across the park's 95 hectares.
Daredevils can take on the Wodan Timburcoaster, a wooden roller coaster that reaches speeds of up to 100 km/h and offers vertical accelerations to thrill the bravest. Thrill-seekers like to take a ride on the Blue Fire Coaster, propelling passengers at top speed from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds, or head to the French Quarter to challenge the Silver Star and its vertiginous 73-meter drop.
Families are not left out either, as young and old alike can also take a trip to Europe's largest Flying Theater, the Voletarium, which invites travelers to a sensational adventure in the air, above some of Europe's most beautiful sites. Fans of Luc Besson's indoor attraction Arthur: Au Royaume des Minimoys are sure to enjoy a family rollercoaster ride among the film's creatures.
Paris lovers, meanwhile, head to the French Quarter to twirl to the sound of the French cancan on the now-ubiquitous CanCan Coaster, themed around the Moulin Rouge. This indoor roller coaster, designed in partnership with the French establishment, plunges visitors into the Paris of the early 20th century, backstage at the legendary showroom. Thrills guaranteed!
New for 2024, in the French Quarter, visitors can discover the Phantom of the Opera Coastiality, a virtual reality adventure, or rediscover the de Medici family's Haunted Castle, which reopens its doors in summer 2024 with a renovated trail.
For thrill-seekers, as of April 26, the park's new multi-propulsion roller co aster will be offering thrills and spills in the Croatian quarter, inaugurated for this 2024 season. What's more, Croatia is also invited to the Dome of Dreams, in the heart of the Greek Quarter, through a new 360-degree adventure film: Nikola Tesla's Beautiful Croatia.
If you prefer water attractions, the Litill Island area has added new facilities to the course.
In Austria, theAlpine Express is back, completely renovated with the Tyrolean Rapids and their wooden logs. Strolling through the Austrian district, you can hike the new Yomi Discovery Trail, which leads to a gemstone cave!
Europa Park is one of the ideal places to get away from Paris for a weekend of family adventure... Let's go and have some great adventures?
