Nigloland: reopening of the theme park and new features for 2024

Nigloland, the famous amusement park located a few kilometers from Troyes, welcomes us for its new season, from Saturday March 30 to November 11, 2024. This year, the park offers a new attraction featuring butterflies.

Over 40 attractions, a world of fun for all the family, shows, restaurants and unforgettable memories... Welcome to Nigloland, the theme park located near Troyes, in the Aube region (10). This large 45-hectare park is reopening its doors for a new season of fun and laughter, from March 30 to November 11, 2024.

Last year, one of the park's star attractions, the Enchanted River, was transformed into the Fairy River. The new enchanted setting is a delight to behold. This year, we're continuing with the magic, as a flight of butterflies awaits us with the new attraction unveiled for this season.L'Envol des papillons" takes you on a magical journey through the Nigloland sky.

For even more magic, an entire area of the park has been transformed to accommodate this new attraction, in an area dedicated to families and children, called the Niglo Forest.

Nigloland is first and foremost a family affair: the Gelis-Caron family has been perpetuating the tradition of show business, circus and funfair for six generations. After starting out in the circus arts in 1838 with Frédéric Caron, circus director and trapeze artist, and his brother Philippe Caron, clown, the family has never left the entertainment business.

As early as 1925, they were travelling the roads of France, running some of the country's finest funfairs, before settling down in 1987 when brothers Philippe and Patrice Gelis founded Nigloland on the family estate. A family tradition that's not about to end, as demonstrated by the arrival of Philippe's son Rodolphe and Patrice's daughter Valentine at the park's helm in early 2017.

Today, with over forty attractions, including 12 thrill rides and 27 accessible to children under 1 metre, eight restaurants and the 4* Hotel des Pirates, Nigloland was voted best park in France at the Fans Parcs Awards in 2023.

Nigloland welcomes you to a 45-hectare site in the heart of the Orient Forest in the French department of Aube, and invites you to explore four themed villages:

The Wonderful Village with 16 attractions
The Canadian Village with 8 attractions
The Swiss Village with 7 attractions
The Rock'n'Roll Village with 8 attractions

This family park stands out from the rest for its vegetation and green setting. The green spaces are incredible, giving us the impression of strolling through a marvellous floral village where cascades of flowers, giant trees, shrubs and streams are all part of the scene. A magnificent setting that adds a touch of poetry to this fun park.

As for attractions, Nigloland has gradually shed its image as an amusement park for toddlers, with 27 attractions accessible to children under 1 metre tall, and has been offering new thrill rides for several years now. These include the world's tallest rotating free-fall tower: the Extreme Dungeon. This attraction allows the bravest visitors to enjoy a 360° view of the park before a vertiginous 100-meter free-fall stopped by magnets at the end.

In 2021, Nigloland will welcome a new, breathtaking attraction: Krampus Expedition, an aquatic roller co aster unique in Europe, installed in the heart of the Swiss Village near Alpina Blitz. The attraction covers 9,000m², making it the largest in the park! Meet the Krampus, a mythical creature of the Alps. Aboard your boat, explore the world of wild rivers, filled with canyons and incredible waterfalls, to reach the cave that shelters this mysterious beast. This roller coaster, though very impressive, remains accessible to the very young, since children over 1.10 m tall can ride it.
