The Jardin des Bergeronnettes des ruisseaux in Pontoise is once again taking part in the Rendez-vous aux Jardins event, classified as an LPO (French League for the Protection of Birds) refuge! As a reminder, this annual event invites Parisians, Ile-de-France residents and the French in general to discover or rediscover the richness and beauty of the Hexagon's many gardens through a wide range of activities, most of which are free of charge.
This year's event takes place from June 2 to 4, 2023. At the Jardin des Bergeronnettes des Ruisseaux, you'll have the opportunity to explore the grounds with the owner on Saturday June 3 and Sunday June 4 only. The owner also invites you to try your hand at making nesting boxes, and to learn how to recognize different species of birds thanks to an exhibition on loan from the LPO.
By the way, do you know what a wagtail is? It's a species of grey and yellow bird that likes to nest in the summer in Cergy-Pontoise and wander along the banks of the Viosne!
