Like every first weekend in June, from May 31st to June 1st this year, the Rendez-vous aux Jardins open the doors to hundreds of gardens, parks and squares all over France. In the Val-d'Oise, many gardens - both public and private - are taking part, including Auvers-sur-Oise.

Every year, Rendez-vous aux Jardins delights nature and culture lovers with a wide range of walks, activities, guided tours and exhibitions... Discover them all over France. The event, initiated by the French Ministry of Culture, takes place on the first weekend in June and offers the public the chance to explore secret, unusual and historic gardens, some of which are inaccessible during the rest of the year. From private gardens to historic green spaces, not forgetting the region's remarkable gardens, how about Rendez-vous aux Jardins from May 31 to June 1, 2024?

The Manoir des Colombières, located in the charming village of Auvers-sur-Oise, is a place steeped in history and beauty. Built in the 17th century, this picturesque building, known for its lovely grounds, has often welcomed artists and writers in search of inspiration. Famous for having been a favorite landscape of the Impressionists, notably Vincent van Gogh, who painted several of his iconic works in the town of Auvers-sur-Oise, the manor is today a symbol of the village's cultural and artistic richness. The Manoir des Colombières is now home to the Musée Daubigny!

The museum park is a beautiful green space, offering a stroll through alleys lined with century-old trees and formal gardens. You'll have the opportunity to discover it during this year's Rendez-vous aux Jardins 2024, with the added bonus of a temporary exhibition.

The Rendez-vous aux Jardins 2024 program at the Musée Daubigny garden:

  • Discovery tour of the Musée Daubigny garden
    June 1 and 2

The Crescend'eau exhibition, presented at the Maison Rose de Wallerand until June 30, continues in the gardens of the Musée Daubigny, where you can discover the creations of artist Strait and Patrick Valmier.
In a hidden corner of the city, Strait and Patrick Valmier discover the "Musée Rêvé", where the Impressionists come to life. They "awaken to color" and light, marking the "birth of a passion" for painting.
Inspired by the stories of the great masters such as "Van Gogh" and Daubigny, Strait and Patrick find an all-consuming passion for painting. Through their canvases, imbued with life and light, they now express their own artistic vision, nourished by the gentle murmur of water during "Retour vers le Crescend'eau".
Each session in the "studio" becomes an adventure where they explore "a thousand and one engravings", marking their own path in the art world and their "vocation to be painters".
