Les Nuits des Forêts returns from June 7 to 16, 2024, and also takes over the Esssonne region. This unique celebration offers an intimate exploration of the forest, combining hikes and immersive experiences.
Once again, Les Nuits des Forêts is back in June. This 2024 edition, scheduled from June 7 to 16, promises to be rich in discoveries and encounters, in the forests ofIle-de-France.
The appointment is made for the general public in Essonne for this 5ᵉ edition of the Nuits des Forêts des plus riches. These ten days of festivities are the perfect opportunity for adults and children to reconnect with nature.
The program for the Île-de-France region looks very promising. The organizers have conceived this event as an invitation to rediscover the forest near you. The importance of forests is at the heart of these nights, and everyone is invited to meet those who contribute to their upkeep and protection. More than just a festival, it's a call to raise awareness and environmental consciousness.
The Nuits des Forêts 2024 program in Essonne :
- FORÊT COMMUNALE DE BOUTIGNY-SUR-ESSONNE - Saturday, June 16
with the Union Régionale des Collectivités Forestières d'Île-de-France and the Mairie de Boutigny-sur-Essonne
The Boutigny-sur-Essonne forest, with its remarkable orchid stations, is located in the foothills of the Fontainebleau forest. This relatively recent forest is the result of agricultural abandonment, particularly the cessation of winegrowing and livestock farming. It is mainly composed of hardwoods (cherry, oak, hornbeam, maple), with a few coniferous trees.
On June 16, come and discover the first educational forest in Ile-de-France. On the program: installation of panels by children from the Municipal Children's Council, reading by the children of a text on the forest (from the book "Les travaux de la forêt", Fleurus), and a closing drink!

- BOIS DU VAL HOCHARD, À DANNEMOIS -| JUNE 15 & 16
with Silvarea / Qi Cabane
Isolated in the woods of Fontainebleau lies a large cabin surrounded by forest. Built in the 1960s by an artist, it lies at the heart of a one-hectare site with a strong history: the surrounding area was one of the first natural sites to benefit from a protection measure, along with the Barbizon Painters' Reserves. A precious reservoir of biodiversity, it is home to a great diversity of environments and over 1,200 animal and plant species, offering a veritable mosaic of landscapes. SILVAREA / Qi_cabane invite you to build inspiring and engaging stories of desirable futures. The program on June 15 includes a fun and instructive stroll, resonances with artists and sound therapists, a sound bath, a massage, a concert by Lin Chiwei and a dance party after the Barbizon program, with Gryllus on the decks for the night. Wake up to birdsong on June 16 with tastings, yoga and sylvotherapy, followed by a "living soil" workshop and debate to end the festival on a high note. Carte blanche at Galerie Ouizeman: discover committed artists on the contemporary scene! Carline Bourdelas, Anne-Laure Cros, Anne-Sophie Emard, Blaise Hanquet, Li Chiwei, Mathilde Nicol, Michal-Sophia Tobiass, Yoann Ximenes, Olivier Lasson and SAS will produce their works during a week-long residency in situ, in sensory conditions of observation and reflection on the issues of the visible and invisible in natural environments, in dialogue with scientific experts.

- FORÊT DOMANIALE DE SÉNART - JUNE 8
with Voyage Métropolitain
The Sénart forest lies southeast of Paris, at the western end of the Brie plateau, between the Seine and Yerres valleys. Its clay subsoil and lack of relief are responsible for the presence of some 800 ponds, forming an ecosystem with a wide variety of habitats. Covering some 3,000 hectares and visited by 3 million people a year, the forest is Essonne's "greatest monument".
On June 8, take a journey into the depths of the forest during a collective itinerary designed as a truancy school punctuated by scientific, documentary and artistic interventions to better understand the complexity of the forest. Explore the different environments that make up the forest, and learn more about its geographical context, its history and development, its current role and the challenges it faces in the future. The walk is as much a physical and sensitive experience as it is an intellectual one. Quickly, between ponds, streams and waterfalls, explore the huts, try a night walk, taste the lichen! Stop by for bark drawings, readings, listen to the bats...

- FORÊT D'ÉTRÉCHY (91) - JUNE 9
with AINVO
Let's discover nature's herbal teas! Plants synthesize a rich variety of molecules with diverse properties. Some of these can be beneficial to us... but it's important to recognize who produces them, and not to make the mistake of using them, or you'll be in for a bitter disappointment! This is what we'll discover together during this outing, which will include a walk and a tasting session in the open air!
