Nuits des Forêts 2024 in Seine-Saint-Denis: The 93 program

Les Nuits des Forêts are back in force for their 5ᵉ edition from June 7 to 16, 2024 all over France and particularly in Seine-Saint-Denis. You'll discover a multitude of activities and experiences to raise your awareness of the importance of forests and their protection.

It's time to go green. Les Nuits des Forêts invites you to (re)discover the forest near you. Day and night, this festival offers shows, art exhibitions and other atypical, immersive experiences. In Seine-Saint-Denis, we're off to the Bondy regional forest and the Bois de Saint-Martin.

The Nuits des Forêts 2024 program in Seine-Saint-Denis :

• FORÊT DE BONDY | JUNE 8
  with artist Philippe Cusse
  On June 8, immerse yourself in the Bondy forest with a walk and art workshop! To represent is to look for a long time; the pretext for looking for a long time is to draw or paint a piece of landscape, or a detail of nature. For landscape sculptor Philippe Cusse, it's a way of understanding a non-artificial universe, in contrast to our suburban cities, and at odds with zapping culture. By creating a landscape installation in situ around a beech tree (classified as a remarkable tree), he bears witness to the suffering of trees in the face of drought, and denounces inaction in the face of accelerating global warming. Essential equipment: bring drawing or painting materials, a rigid support and drawing paper or a sketchbook.

• FORÊT RÉGIONALE DE BONDY (93) I JUNE 16
  with LPO Île-de-France
  Do you know your feathered friends? On June 16, with the Ligue de Protection des Oiseaux and equipped with binoculars and an identification guide, you'll observe the multitude of birds that find refuge in a thousand-year-old forest, and even learn the criteria for recognizing them! Binoculars provided on site.

• BOIS SAINT MARTIN - MAUBUÉ (93) I JUNE 8, 9, 14 AND 15
  with Pérambulations, Le murmure de la forêt, Les Jardins d'Eladrïel and LPO Île-de-France
  Orienteering games, forest bathing, birdwatching and nocturnal tales are on the program for these 4 days in the heart of Bois Saint Martin. Learn how to use a compass and read IGN maps on June 8, move to the rhythm of the forest thanks to a rejuvenating bath (an original proposal off the beaten track!) on June 9, be lulled by the rustling of animals and the voice of a storyteller to enjoy the night while listening to stories on June 14, and look through binoculars at feathered creatures to discover forest birds on June 15!
