On the weekend of October 4 and 5, we're off to Brie Comte Robert in the 77 region of France to take a leap back in time to the Middle Ages for Médiévale 2025. Old-fashioned shows, festive parades and immersive activities promise a captivating, free weekend for the whole family in this charming Seine-et-Marne commune.

Do you love medieval festivals? Then don't miss the charming town of Brie Comte Robert on Saturday and Sunday, October 4 and 5, for its Médiévale 2025, a not-to-be-missed event for lovers of history and original festivities.

Over the course of a weekend, you'll be immersed in the atmosphere of feudal France, with street performances, period music and re-enactments. Whether you're a regular or a first-time visitor, this edition promises to be particularly festive.

The 2025program has yet to be announced, but last year's line-up included: Cie Armutan 's traditional music, Cie Belli Mercator 's navigators and their crazy mythological tales, not forgetting Cie Keras and its show "L'Amour en Batailles", a miniature re-enactment for young audiences.

In a carnival atmosphere, Cie Bohemian Karavan invited us to a divination session with Lizzie, the fortune-teller. And for lovers of jokes and juggling, Cies Les Griboulets and Les Baladeux deployed humor and acrobatic prowess in the streets of the town. Music and dance were not forgotten, with lively performances by Cie Les Tritons Ripailleurs and La Rioule des Compagnons du Monde.

This historic event also features a wide range of travelling entertainment. As you stroll through the narrow streets of Brie-Comte-Robert, you'll come across a host of wonderful companies, all of whom are there to entertain young and old alike.

The highlight of the Médiévale will undoubtedly be the Grand Défilé, scheduled for Sunday, October 5. The procession will leave from rue Gambetta and wind its way through the historic heart of the town, all the way to the square in front of the church of Saint-Étienne. Costumed visitors are invited to join the colorful parade.

Those wishing to extend their medieval experience by night can take advantage of the Nuit Blanche, with a torchlight procession and musical entertainment well into the night. You can transform yourself for the occasion at the sewing workshop, open until October 2, where period costumes can be hired.

Last but not least, all parking lots are free of charge, and a shuttle service is available throughout the weekend. There's also a bike park for those who prefer to arrive on two wheels.

This Médiévale promises to plunge us into another era, for a festive and convivial moment with family and friends. Whether you come for the shows, the costumes, or simply to enjoy the atmosphere, this 2025 edition at Brie-Comte-Robert is a great opportunity to rediscover history in a fun and immersive way.
