In Paris, you can live a thousand lives in the space of a week: the capital'sart de vivre allows you to travel, cross eras and enjoyamazing experiences to the point of feeling like you're in a movie. Within the City of Light, there are even places and concepts where time seems almost suspended as we enjoy the present moment in the company of those we love. Parisian palaces are no exception: in their luxurious and often historic settings, wonderful experiences await those who wish to conquer these places that are also part of Paris's heritage.
The Royal Monceau Raffles, located on Avenue Hoche, not far from Champs-Elysées andArc de Triomphe, is the perfect place to enjoy a moment out of time. Every Thursday evening, from 6.30pm to 10pm, you can enjoy live band evenings in the bar Long. In a hushed, subdued atmosphere with a chic brasserie feel, musicians perform jazz versions of current hits and classics you'll never tire of.
Throughout the evening, the singer wanders from table to table, immersing us in this live performance, interacting with the guests, respecting the intimacy of some while connecting with others, creating a relaxed atmosphere that everyone can experience in their own way. The à la carte tapas to share range in price from €18(French fries with truffled mayonnaise) to €36(Lobster Rolls), making it possible to adapt the budget for those who reserve this experience for a special occasion. For our part, we've fallen for the refreshing tuna tacos (20€), the mini lobster rolls (well-stuffed), and the Crispy Bouchée (19€) made with pre-cooked polenta with cream and pana negra ham: the three plates are served in 4-piece sets, making them easy to share.
As for cocktails, prices are in line with or slightly lower than those usually charged in Parisian palaces, depending on the recipe. You should expect to pay between €22 and €30 for a mixology creation. When it comes to recipes, the palace takes a daring approach, offering creations off the beaten track. For example, the Atami Baien (27€), made with Umeshu (Japanese plum liqueur), elderflower, yuzu and sparkling sake, reveals a cocktail that is both fruity and floral, without being too sweet or too strong: a good balance and a good taste experience.
Whether you're looking for a romantic date or a relaxed evening chatting with good friends, Royal Monceau's live band evenings set the scene for an intimate, gourmet and musical experience!
