Fancy an aperitif and an unusual cultural outing? We're taking advantage of the new edition of the L'Été du Canal festival, from July 8 to August 13, 2023, to try out the Apéro des Berges, small events that combine a discovery of an Ile-de-France area with a moment of relaxation on the banks of the region's rivers, just a stone's throw from the capital. A great way to share good vibes and good food all summer long!
If you can find several variations of this Apéro on the Explore Paris website, with other places to visit, we're heading for the Guinguette des Grandes Serres, in Pantin, on July 7 and 21, at the end of the day! On the program is a visit to Les Halles Pouchard, once home to a steel tube manufacturer until 2017, and now an industrial wasteland along the Canal de l'Ourcq. Purchased, Les Halles are now being reinvented, along with Les Grandes Serres de Pantin, a site that will be home to a wide range of retail and cultural activities by 2026.
And so it's in the heart of the Guinguette des Grandes Serres that you can end your visit and sample some excellent tapas, in a place run by former Top Chef candidate Justine Piluso. For other aperitifs, you can choose between music cruises, open-air cinemas or a visit to an old jam factory!
L'Été du Canal 2024, the unmissable festival of Parisian canals, is back!
L'Été du Canal is the must-attend summer event in Paris! And with good news, this Parisian summer hotspot is back from July 6 to August 11, 2024.
