Escapade au Marché: Le Cours de Cuisine Unique de l'Ecole du Ritz à Paris

Let yourself be tempted byEscapade au Marché, a culinary adventure offered by the prestigious Ecole du Ritz Paris, located on the kitchen level of the grand Parisian hotel. Available all year round, this unique getaway offers cooking enthusiasts, whether novices or enthusiasts, the chance to learn from real chefs in a convivial atmosphere.

We set off to discover this formula, basket in hand, with Chef Jérôme Coindre, through the Marché Wilson on the Trocadéro side.Fresh, delicious, seasonal produce, some of it sourced from local producers , is what we're looking for.At the market, the chef allows himself to be inspired by the products on offer and our tastes.

The journey then continues at the Ritz Escoffier School to transform these finds into a four-course menu, under the benevolent guidance of the chef who passes on his tips and tricks of the trade.

Worth knowing:

• The course is taught in French, but translated into English.
• The recipes are chosen by the chef at the market according to the seasonal produce available.
• Some cooking sessions are done in groups, for a shared and enriching experience.
• The meal is a convivial occasion, where two dishes are tasted at lunchtime. Afternoon dishes are available to take away.

L'Escapade au Marché is more than just a cooking class. It's an 8-hour immersion in the life of a chef, where we learn how to select fresh produce from the market, develop recipes, make them, and finally enjoy our creations in good spirits.

We learned how to choose our fish, prepare broad beans and peas, turn an artichoke or make a simple sage butter to accompany our fresh fish.

Then it's straight to the table!

This day rich in culinary discoveries is shared between gourmandise, learning and good humor. Of course, this cooking class comes at a price: expect to pay €450 for 8 hours of culinary pleasure and discovery.
