At Château de Brinville, you'll discover not only a delightful 18th-century mansion, but also the generous souls of its owners, Daniel and Joël. There's no question of an impersonal hotel atmosphere here. Instead, you'll feel like a guest in a friend's home, welcomed into the cosy nest of a couple who have chosen to share their haven of peace. It's a place of luxury and comfort, where art and music take pride of place. A magnificent piano sits in the living room, a testament to the musical evenings the hosts like to organize.
Not to be missed during your stay:
For our part, we chose to test the Mansart room and its cathedral height, offering a mezzanine ideal for families, won over by its country charm. The photo, taken at night, doesn't do it justice, but it's a beautiful, spacious room with a breathtaking view over the garden.
Beyond the luxurious, comfortable feel of the place, Brinville reveals a whole history. We learn that the château has been visited by literary and artistic figures such as André Malraux and the famous actor Michael Lonsdale. Don't be surprised if you swap your shoes for slippers on arrival, as the couple like to keep their little cocoon cosy. Here, you can relax and share a moment with the owners before setting off to explore the village, the Château de Fontainebleau, Barbizon or even Vaux le Vicomte, a little further afield.
In short, a stay at Château de Brinville is more than just a night in a bed & breakfast. It's an immersion in a place where history, conviviality and art meet. It's a real bargain that we loved discovering!
