Created in 2012 by Garry Dorr, the Grand Bistro brand, Family House since 1975, echoes to his father Willy Dorr’s experience he who invented the “Menu Tout Compris” [All Inclusive Menu]. The brand gathers under the same name the former Bistro & Cie, i.e. Bistro de Breteuil, saint-Ferdinand, La Muette and Bistro du 17ème.
After working alongside the greatest chefs: he trained at Alain Ducasse’s, Joël Robuchon’s, Jean-François Piège’s, Louis Grondart’s, Garry Dorr decides, in 2010, to throw himself and in his very name, the creation of the d o r r Paris signature, and to put his passion of oysters, seafood and other exceptional products at the service of the clientele found in Parisian bistros.
Grand Bistro restaurants offer a menu featuring fresh products, local products, organic products, wild fishes, French meats from Hugo Desnoyer, ice creams and sorbets made on order as well as homemade desserts.
If you enjoy seafood platter, you’ll be served! Garry Dorr, also the owner of the Bar à Huîtres restaurants, offers a large range of oyster and shells. For example, on a platter, you can find 12 Grand Cru oyster for €35 that includes:
We can also enjoy delicious sea water tank fishes caught on order in the tanks adorning the restaurants. Spider crab, lobster, prawn and even King Crab are available in the 3 hours after the order and cooked on the spot and with the greatest care of the chefs.
But let meat-eaters be rest assured, the place also has a selection of French meats from Hugo Desnoyer: traditional butcher offering grass-fed meat chosen for being ecofriendly. Grilled rib, beef fillet, tartare, Charolais burger and even veal kidneys or rack of lamb are here to fulfill the most carnivorous of you.
In terms of dessert, gourmet offerings such as the flambéed Crêpes Suzette, the “Darth Vader” chocolate lava cake or the traditional mille-feuille rub shoulders with lighter ones such as the fresh pineapple carpaccio and sorbets and ice creams from Philippe Urraca.
With its 190 coverts and its sunny summer terrace that opens onto the Place de Breteuil, Grand Bistro Breteuil welcomes you everyday for lunch and dinner.
