If you like traditional Parisian bistros, then Le Mesturet is for you. Behind this Maître-Restaurateur establishment lies generous, authentic cuisine featuring seasonal, home-cooked dishes.

Nestled just a stone's throw from the Paris Bourse, Le Mesturet has been delighting the taste buds of local residents and employees since 2003. Founded by Alain Fontaine, Le Mesturet is one of those traditional Parisian bistros where French cuisine is the watchword.

Behind the admittedly busy decor (with objects collected from the four corners of France) lie two gastronomic enthusiasts, owner Alain Fontaine and chef Régis Fève.

Together, they offer seasonal, homemade cuisine. In 2012, the restaurant was awarded the title of Maître-Restaurateur.

Relying on the quality of its produce and suppliers, Le Mesturet unveils a regularly renewed seasonal menu. In autumn, game takes pride of place, including mallard, hare and wild boar.

Le Mesturet also offers several signature dishes, such as old-fashioned veal blanquette with rice pilaf or veal head rolled on the tongue.

The restaurant also proudly displays its very trendy and creative burger revisited: the Canardburger , composed of a burger bun, semi-cooked foie gras, duck breast, duck confit, grilled vegetables, green salad and pommes grenailles.

But now it's time for the tasting, with, for my part, a Hungarian blue squash velouté accompanied by a fricassee of chestnuts with semi-salted butter. I'm immediately seduced by the autumnal flavors that emerge from this unctuous and delicious velouté!

My sidekick opts for a succulent terrine of mallard with genepi and juniper berries and orange marmalade.

We continue with the dish of the day, a generous coq cooked Alsatian-style with white wine and sauerkraut. Once again, the taste is there to delight my taste buds!

On the other hand, there's an essential autumn dish: Chartreuse of hare in green cabbage with cranberries and wild mushrooms.

Fish lovers can console themselves with a back of Scottish salmon with bacon-free sauerkraut and horseradish cream, or cod brandade with pink garlic from Lautrec and fine frisée with Berry walnuts.

Finally, we couldn't resist the tempting desserts, including the excellent chocolate and cardamom moelleux bathed in a light, delicious mango cream, and the imposing Paris-Brest with its delicious praline cream! As the menu states, small appetites should be avoided, but we're telling you, you'd be wrong to miss out!
