After a great success with their canteen located just across the street, Odette and Tristan decided to widen in order to offer more choices and more seats to their patrons. In 2015, they opened the first organic juice bar in Versailles. They quickly became aware that patrons were more and more keen on homemade dishes. To meet the demand while keeping with the spirit of the place, they’ve just opened a brand-new restaurant at 9 rue Satory.
Positive Café Healthy Food & Juice Bar, here is the name of this new spot where you can treat yourself but in a healthy and gourmet way. Wooden decors, reused school chairs, climbing plants and bricks, the same spirit as the first place is well kept.
Regarding the menu, it changes monthly in accordance with the seasonal fruits and vegetables. More of a canteen at lunchtime with avocado toasts, salads and quick food, more of a cozy and laid-back place at dinnertime with cocktails and muted atmosphere. On Sunday, the restaurant offers a lovely brunch menu you can create to your liking. Benedict eggs, kame gratin with soft-boiled egg or pancakes, it’s up to you.
We love the delicious smoothies and freshly squeezed juices on order, the original dishes and their freshness. We discover dressings, tastes and uncommon mixes. Treat yourself without being guilty.
On the spot, we tasted the copious Mezzeplatter to share. A big plate with beetroot hummus, roasted carrots hummus with broccoli and mint pesto and almonds, the whole served with pita bread and crispy vegetable sticks. We advise you the spring rolls with rice loaf wrapping red kuri squash, red cabbage, avocado, parsley, mint and spinach with a delicious peanut tamari sauce.
In terms of main courses, let yourself go for the excellent Riso Venere with Tonno. A dish that combines black rice, pan-fried red onions, red cabbage, broccoli and ginger butternut, fresh tuna cooked in a wok, sesame oil and cilantro.
A delicious discovery with the Veggie Burger made of a chickpea, tahini and fresh herbs pancake, a cashew tzatziki sauce with cucumber and mint, red cabbage, sautéed carrots and sweet potatoes.
You may have got it, without realizing it, theses plates are full of fresh seasonal (and organic) vegetables. Treat yourself while getting loads of vitamins.
To wash it all down, drink the excellent local beer, the Montreuilloise or the lovely list of organic wines. We went for the Ginger Lemon (lemon, mint, ginger and muscovado), everything to boost your spirit.
We end the meal with one of the desserts of the day. For us, we had a vegan pear-cinnamon cake and a speculoos tiramisu with coffee mascarpone cream. The desserts are not too sweet so that they pleasantly close the meal.
Let’s eat, shall we?
