On the Boulevard Haussmann side of Paris, Perruche is a cocktail bar and restaurant with a breathtaking view of the capital. The 500m² venue, perched on the rooftop of the Printemps de l'Homme-Printemps du Goût department store, offers a panoramic view over the rooftops of Paris , and immerses visitors in a green atmosphere with its many exotic plants.
As for the menu, the rooftop focuses on southern flavors and colorful dishes. On the plate, you'll find some of the great classics of Provençal cuisine: pissaladière, farcis and the great Niçoise salad. The menu also includes grilled prawns, roast lamb chops and beef tenderloin. And for dessert, Perruche offers a must-have Southern pastry: tarte tropézienne, a specialty born in... Saint-Tropez.
Perruche also offers a selection of cocktails, wines and other beverages. This year, the terrace is even bigger than in previous years! The address is open until late, but the bill can be (a little) steep!
Our opinion:
Piled on top of each other on busy days, squeezed by waiters to maximize the number of services, you'll pay mainly for the view (provided you're well placed). The restaurant is aimed at those of you looking for a sublime panorama of Paris, from the Palais Garnier to the Eiffel Tower. You'll enjoy it mainly on sunny days (the terrace is semi-covered).
However, if you're looking for a creative dish or good value for money, don't bother! The dishes, billed at Michelin-star prices, come as no surprise. A fougasse with a few vegetables, dry fries, a plain chocolate mousse... Gastronomy lovers, avoid disappointment.
