It's not every day when you're a student that you indulge in a meal out. Yes, in Paris, affordable yet tasty restaurants are few and far between, and students' wallets are often empty long before the end of the month.
Here's a good plan for students, young workers and those on a tight budget. In Paris, Cala restaurants, located at Nation, Jussieu and soon Jardin du Luxembourg, offer healthy and affordable pasta dishes. And with good reason! These are prepared not by a cook, but by... a robot!
Cala's 4m2 kitchens are fully automated, with the C3-PSTO robot preparing some 400 dishes per hour. The result is lower costs, and in the end, less expensive dishes for gourmets, starting at 6€! But Cala doesn't cut corners on quality. Here, raw, fresh produce is labelled whenever possible, without preservatives or additives.
On the menu, a wide variety of pasta recipes, with the option of customizing them directly from your phone. For example, Carbo pasta with beechwood-smoked French bacon, Grana Padano and shavings of Parmiggiano Reggiano; Margarito pasta with mozzarella balls and chopped fresh chives; or Cheesy'cuzzi pasta with creamy sauce, cheddar, comté, gorgonzola and crispy fried onions!
