Vitamin-packed, colorful, gourmet, but above all balanced: if we had to sum up BooloFood's cuisine, these are the four adjectives that come spontaneously to mind. On the menu, you'll find affordable cuisine, with menus for less than €15, generous boards of tapas to nibble on as an aperitif or starter, and exotic juices squeezed to the minute with many excellent health properties... To drink, we recommend Bissap, an infusion of hibiscus flowers and slightly acidic mint, Baobab, which mixes baobab fruit (a superfood) with banana, or even more original, the Ditakh and kiwi smoothie!
On the main course, you'll find the timeless Yassa chicken and its delicious spicy onion compote in the Yassa Bowl, beef mafé (beef simmered in a thick peanut butter sauce, served with white rice and vegetables) in the Peanut bowl, or the BooloBowl, the daily special that changes daily according to the chef's inspirations. For fans of yassa chicken, BooloFood also offers it as a burger, with the generous Burger Yassa and its homemade sweet potato fries. Each dish is also available in a vegan version! And don't miss the allocos, delicious fried plantain slices served as starters or in à la carte bowls!
For dessert, opt for homemade banana bread or a bowl of dried-fruit granola for just €3.50 (yes, we know, you can't beat that). For menus, count on €14.90 for the classic dish + drink, €17.90 for a dish, dessert and drink, or €20.90 for the most complete formula: starter-main course-drink-dessert. BooloFood is also a coworking space, with electrical outlets and free wifi so you can telework in peace; the venue also organizes seminars or private events in its pretty room!
BooloFood is not just a great place to try out in the 19th arrondissement, it's also a social enterprise whose mission is to promote the professional integration of people who are far from employment. And BooloFood 's social mission doesn't stop there, as the restaurant makes a point of sourcing exotic products (baobab fruit, for example) directly from artisanal Senegalese cooperatives run by women. You can also buy some of these products and ingredients on site, in the small grocery store where the restaurant sells them. We recommend this delicious, affordable and committed restaurant in the 19th arrondissement!
