A 10€ bill for a dish and dessert in the heart of Paris is as rare as an oasis in the desert. And yet it is. From March 26 to June 30, 2025, the ephemeral restaurant 6.90 will open its doors on rue Poissonnière, in the Sentier district of Paris, unveiling prices aimed at those on a budget.
The idea behind this restaurant is simple: homemade, home-style cooking, with a single dish on the à la carte menu that changes from time to time. A Parisian bouillon-style cuisine , to eat in or take away, prepared with local produce, for unbeatable value for money.
For the opening, a dish of knife sausage direct from Aveyron with homemade mashed potatoes opens the ball. All for €6.90 a dish. Add to this a unique dessert, a chocolate mousse at 2.90€, and you've got yourself a simple and good (and even just good) lunch for less than 10€. For an extra glass of wine or soft drink (3.90€), you're looking at 13.70€.
Behind 6.90 is a serial entrepreneur who is no stranger to Paris: Jade Frommer, head of theEphemera Group behind the immersive restaurants Under The Sea, Stellar, Jungle Palace and Wonderwoods.
