Thanksgiving, a celebration of harvest and togetherness, resonates perfectly with Asian culinary traditions. In Singapore, this spirit is fully expressed in the hawker culture, where families and friends gather around generous dishes - noodles, curries, sambals - to share a joyous and convivial moment.
Chope Chope and The Hood Paris bring this conviviality to Paris, highlighting a cuisine that celebrates a rich heritage and the meticulous work behind each dish. Whether it's delicate broths, fragrant curries or homemade sauces, each preparation reflects artisanal craftsmanship, with particular attention paid to the use of carefully selected local ingredients.
At the center of the menu is Ipoh Kai See Hor Fun, iconic noodles from Madam Key's hometown of Ipoh, Malaysia. Prepared with a rich, aromatic broth, silky noodles, tender chicken (the same used for The Hood Paris' famous Chicken Rice), and spiced up with a spicy, addictive sambal, this dish reflects the essence of Ipoh cuisine: authenticity and comfort.
Complementing this, the menu features Nasi Lemak, a dish loved across Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia, each bringing its own unique interpretation. Accompanied by beef rendang and a variety of homemade sambals, this dish illustrates the diversity and richness of the region's cuisines. Finally, Corn Kerabu, a zesty and refreshing take on Thanksgiving classics, adds a modern Malaysian touch.
With vegetarian and vegan options, this menu offers a unique experience celebrating the diversity and depth of Southeast Asian flavors. Dishes are accompanied by carefully selected natural French wines, for a perfect encounter between Asian flavors and French viniculture.
Since September 2024, Chope Chope - A Taste of Singapore has presented unique Singaporean flavors, ranging from Chef Jeremy Nguee's "Singapore Apero", Pasir Panjang Boy's "Singapore Seafood", Chef Damian D'Silva's Peranakan cuisine, and, finally, Madam Key's comfort food. As cultural curators linking Southeast Asia and Europe, The Hood Paris/BLK65 celebrate the diversity of Asian cuisine, with the aim of putting the region's cuisine on the global culinary map.
With the support of the Singapore Global Network, Citadines Les Halles Paris and Singapore Airlines, this event celebrates Singaporean cuisine, a reflection of its incredible cultural diversity, a culinary melting pot that embodies the diversity and convivial spirit of a great shared table.
Take part in this Thanksgiving finale and celebrate the closing of Chope Chope 2024 in a convivial atmosphere, while helping to enrich the diversity of the Parisian gastronomic scene.
