From November 28 to December 1, 2024, The Hood Paris concludes its vibrant "Chope Chope 2024 - A Taste of Singapore" menu series, with a festive menu by Madam Key, celebrating the iconic flavors of Southeast Asia. Drawing on her culinary roots and her grandmother's treasured recipes, Madam Key celebrates Ipoh noodles (Kai See Hor Fun), while exploring the diversity and richness of the cuisines of Singapore and Malaysia.

A Tradition of Sharing that Resounds in Asia

Thanksgiving, a celebration of harvest and togetherness, resonates perfectly with Asian culinary traditions. In Singapore, this spirit is fully expressed in the hawker culture, where families and friends gather around generous dishes - noodles, curries, sambals - to share a joyous and convivial moment.

Chope Chope and The Hood Paris bring this conviviality to Paris, highlighting a cuisine that celebrates a rich heritage and the meticulous work behind each dish. Whether it's delicate broths, fragrant curries or homemade sauces, each preparation reflects artisanal craftsmanship, with particular attention paid to the use of carefully selected local ingredients.

The Star Dish: Ipoh Kai See Hor Fun and a Menu Inspired by Southeast Asia

At the center of the menu is Ipoh Kai See Hor Fun, iconic noodles from Madam Key's hometown of Ipoh, Malaysia. Prepared with a rich, aromatic broth, silky noodles, tender chicken (the same used for The Hood Paris' famous Chicken Rice), and spiced up with a spicy, addictive sambal, this dish reflects the essence of Ipoh cuisine: authenticity and comfort.

Complementing this, the menu features Nasi Lemak, a dish loved across Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia, each bringing its own unique interpretation.
