If you're a fan of fine Parisian addresses, we'd like to take you to the Kimpton St Honoré Paris in theOpéra district. Here, you'll discover a 5-star hotel with 149 rooms and suites, a spa, gym and indoor pool, not to mention a restaurant and rooftop cocktail bar.
Located in the former " Samaritaine de Luxe ", the Kimpton St Honoré boasts marvellous Art Nouveau facades dating from 1917. The 5-star hotel has also preserved other period features of the store, such as the grand staircase, to bring a unique cachet to this exceptional location.
Renowned interior designer Charles Zana was responsible for the artistic direction of the establishment, whose interiors are inspired by theArt Deco of the 1930s. The grand double-revolution staircase and the historic elevators, period features of the department store, have been preserved as testimony to a flamboyant past that has now been rediscovered. Classified as historic monuments, these elevators can no longer be used, but become alcoves in which to relax and, why not, take a photo.
Each room takes on the allure of a chic, modern Parisian apartment, with balconies, studio windows and carefully selected works of art.
In the basement, we have the Codage SPA, offering tailor-made treatments and a lovely pool to relax in. For food and drinks, the first floor features Montecito, a Californian-inspired restaurant - a nod to the Californian origins of the brand, which was born in San Francisco in the 80s - designed by Humbert & Poyet, with high ceilings, a large counter, marquetry and white zellige, touches of blue, marble and terrazzo, as well as an open kitchen.
In the kitchen, French chef Nicolas Pastot, with the complicity of the most American of Parisians, Carrie Solomon, have devised a menu that combines healthy and gourmet recipes, always with a touch of American generosity.
Discover, for example, the aptly named CALI flower, a whole piece of roasted cauliflower with coconut milk, curry and tahini, and its crispy chickpeas to share; fluffy gluten-free pancakes; a langoustine tostada like in the south of the Baja peninsula; a Cobb Salad, a wide range of veggie, vegan and gluten-free dishes, as well as fine cuts of meat and fish to share: ribs, tomahawk steak à la découpe or ceviche.
On the drinks side, Montecito will be offering a selection of Californian and French wines, mostly biodynamic, as well as classic and signature cocktails, and over 30 carefully chosen Bourbon references. But for a drink at Kimpton St-Honoré, you can also climb a few floors...
On the hotel's 10th floor is a cocktail and tapas bar, Sequoia, where you can enjoy a 360° view of the capital from above. On the short menu of this 300m2 rooftop, 6 cocktails of the moment, wines and champagnes and a selection of tapas to share with friends. And on Fridays and Saturdays, DJ sets liven up the evenings!
So, how about a night out, a restaurant or a rooftop terrace?
