The City of Paris takes part in the international Olympic Day, planned this Sunday June 23, 2019. A very particular day to prepare the Olympics 2024. The idea is to celebrate Olympic sport, thanks to initiation areas and demonstrations performed by great French athletes.
On Sunday June 23, 2019, the Place de la Concorde will become a huge olympic center, 75,000 sqm will be devoted to sport fields with bleachers. All day long, 30 major federations will be represented by top-level athletes and competitions open ot all, we've been already told that Tony Parker and Yannick Agnel may be there!
We'll have, among others:
During this day, a 2024-m race will be held and 24 bibs are to be won to take part in Paris 2024 races. Registrations are already open on line on Run Paris 2024 website.
This year, the Fête du Sport [Sport Festival] teams up with the Olympic Day with 700 events all over France.
On Saturday June 22, 2019 a driving range expects us at the Rotonde Stalingrad, a skate park including BMX on the Boulevard de Belleville, while the Halle Pajol (18th arrondissement) will become the temple of climbing and speed climbing, skate park and BMX.
In Ile de France, the highlight of the day will be the official opening of the Vayres-Torcy outdoor activities center, an Olympic-inspired place.
This charm campaign, destined to promote Paris before the Olympics 2024, will be the occasion to enable inhabitants and tourists to try many sports and who knows you can discover new passions?
