From February 10 to 25, 2024, it's February vacation time for little Parisians! For the occasion, many museums in Paris and Île-de-France are offering activities and entertainment for children, like the Musée des Plans-Reliefs, with workshops for young and old alike, from age 6 upwards.
The February 2024 program at the Musée des Plans-Reliefs includes creative activities for children aged 6 and over. Your children can choose between building a Kapla citadel, creating a metal map, playing a strategy game... Each workshop costs just €7, and accompanying adults don't pay to attend with their children.
Alternatively, you can take advantage of a number of flash visit slots during the vacations. February 10, 11, 14, 17, 18, 21, 24 and 25, at 2, 3 and 4 p.m. each day (no reservations required). Best of all, these tours are free with an admission ticket to the Musée de l'Armée or the Musée de l'Ordre de la Libération.

The Musée des Plans Relief, located in the Hôtel des Invalides in Paris, houses some 100 relief plans of fortified towns. Once used for military purposes, they are now preserved in their original state at the Invalides, where you can discover these immense models of French towns. [Read more]
The Musée des Plans-Reliefs is located within the Hôtel des Invalides. It presents a unique, rich and accessible collection of relief models, even for the youngest visitors.
After exploring the museum, young and old alike will use KAPLA construction sets to reproduce the fortifications on the relief models.
Create a personalized gold or silver card in a workshop: inspired by the tradition of pilgrimage signs, children will put into practice the repoussé metal technique for a creation in relief!
After a presentation of the collection, children will set off in search of the remarkable architectures on the models, with the help of a booklet-game. Observation and curiosity are key to the challenge!
After exploring the museum, head to the workshop to build a small model of an entrance châtelet. Everything children need to become experts in medieval fortifications!
A series of challenges, games and riddles will lead children and their families to discover the museum's famous characters. Requirements: observation skills, team spirit and a desire to learn while having fun!
