A central monument in Paris, the Panthéon is a necropolis dedicated to the great men of the French Republic. The crypt contains the tombs of Rousseau, Voltaire,Émile Zola, Jean Moulin, Louis Braille, René Cassin, Victor Schœlcher, Jean Monnet, Marie Curie and Simone Veil. In all, more than 80 people are buried in this monument.
This building, located in the Latin Quarter, should have housed the shrine of Saint Geneviève. However, during the French Revolution, it was given a new mission: to honor the great figures of French history.
To make this solemn place more accessible to children, the Panthéon is organizing some fun activities open to all, this weekend of October 19 and 20, 2024, on the occasion of the event Monument Jeu d'enfant.
This fun and educational event gives the very youngest visitors a chance to discover the national monuments of Paris and the Île-de-France region, through tours, workshops and shows adapted to young visitors. Please note that reservations are required for this family event.
Bring the whole family to discover the emblematic architecture of this incredible monument steeped in history! And don't miss the other events organized in the capital's various monuments.
