The 2024 All Saints' Day vacations are off to a great start , with an exceptional weekend to be enjoyed in France's monuments. Children and their parents are invited to Monuments Nationaux to take part in the latest edition of Monument Jeu d'Enfant, a fun way to learn more about our heritage.
At la Conciergerie, a weekend of fun and games awaits the youngest visitors on Saturday October 19 and Sunday October 20, 2024. It's impossible to resist the call: the monument is a place steeped inhistory, as fascinating as it is beautiful. Built in the 10th century, the Conciergerie was part of the Palais de la Cité, the first residence of the kings of France until the end of the 14th century, before being transformed into a courthouse and then a prison for Queen Marie-Antoinette during the French Revolution.
The Conciergerie isn't the only one taking part in this event: the Sainte-Chapelle is joining forces with the former prison to offer special activities for our little ones. This Gothic church with its thousands of stained glass windows is waiting to reveal all its secrets. Tours will be offered over the weekend.
