Young researchers from the ChADoC association will be on hand to present workshops for young and old alike. It's an opportunity to spend a day that's as enriching as it is fun, at the heart of one of the Latin Quarter's most beautiful establishments. The Collège de France was founded in 1530. Numerous courses and lectures are given here throughout the year by the researchers who work there, and are very often open to the public. This makes it a unique place of learning.

  • Fête de la Science at the Collège de France
    October 05

On Saturday, October 5, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., the young researchers of the Collège de France, the ChADoC (Chercheurs Associés et Doctorants du Collège de France), will once again be celebrating the Fête de la science.
This event is an opportunity for children and adults alike to discover the world of science and meet the men and women who make up today's science.
On this occasion, numerous experiments designed by members of the ChADoC association will be presented in the many disciplines and fields in which the Collège de France has distinguished itself for several centuries: physics, biology, chemistry...
In addition to these workshops, exceptional laboratory visits will be offered upon registration: let yourself be guided through our biology or physics laboratories!
The Collège de France's ephemeral souvenir store will also be open to the public.
    On the program
    Interactive workshops
This year, the experience will be even more immersive, with workshops in 4 themed rooms combining the different fields of research at the Collège de France.
Dive into the worlds of biodiversity and evolution, energy and matter, and the brain and learning. Neuroscience, microbiology, phylogenetics, electrochemistry, physics and mathematics will take you on a journey.

    Laboratory visits
    Visits recommended for over 13s.
The Kastler-Brossel laboratory is a joint research unit of the CNRS, Collège de France(Institute of Physics), Sorbonne University and Ecole normale supérieure, which studies quantum physics. Here, atoms are manipulated under extreme conditions to study their behavior when isolated and close to absolute zero. Come and visit one of the experimental rooms to discover the objects researchers use to create these extraordinary conditions.
