The Fête de la Science is a national event created in 1991 to democratize scientific culture for the general public. Held every year in October, the event celebrates its 33rd edition in October 2024, with conferences, workshops, exhibitions and demonstrations designed to make science accessible to all, in a fun and educational atmosphere. This year's theme is our oceans, entitled "Oceans of Knowledge".
In Paris, the Fête de la Science takes on a special dimension, with numerous events taking place in museums, universities and research centers. Emblematic venues such as the Palais de la Découverte, the Musée des Arts et Métiers and the Cité des Sciences host activities for families, schoolchildren and enthusiasts of all ages.
Located in the 13th arrondissement ofParis, theInstitut des Systèmes Complexes de Paris Île-de-France is an interdisciplinary research center founded in 2005, dedicated to the study of complex systems, be they social, biological or technical phenomena. Today, the science of complex systems is an interdisciplinary branch of science that has become critically important for predicting, anticipating and acting on societal issues such as climate change and biodiversity loss.
On Saturday, October 5, 2024, from 11am to 10pm, the Institut des Systèmes Complexes de Paris IdF - a cutting-edge research site and central hub of the French network on complex systems, an established player in scientific mediation and a third-party venue with a 700 m² space and an auditorium - invites you to a unique day focusing on the role of the oceans in climate change and biodiversity loss, all infused with good vibes to tackle them!
