For its 33rd edition, the Fête de la Science brings together science professionals, universities, researchers and the general public, with events, conferences, exhibitions and educational workshops open to all.

This year's theme is an "Ocean of Knowledge", so a wide range of events awaits you in Paris and the Paris region, including the Musée des Mathématiques, a number of CNRS sites, and various Sorbonne University campuses...

TheUniversité des Sciences et des Lettres de Paris (PSL for "Paris, Sciences et Lettres", editor's note) is also taking part, with the aim of opening up part of the campus to the general public. In October 2024, PSL invites you to come and celebrate Science on its campus, with events, conferences, workshops and other fun activities!

• PSL Celebrates Science
  03 - 13 october
  

  For this year's Fête de la Science, Université PSL is offering a rich program of laboratory visits, lectures, workshops, exchanges and discoveries.
  A unique opportunity to discover the University and its establishments, but also to approach science and knowledge from all angles: culture, games, etc.!
  This year's highlights include a "village" on rue Erasme on Saturday afternoon, October 12.

• Emotions: [En]jeux

  A free event organized by PSL University, in partnership with the TRACES association, and with the support of the Ile-de-France region.
  Mini-conferences and discussion-game workshops for high-school students to explore research issues related to emotions.
  Through the prism of health, art, ecology, society, marketing and artificial intelligence, this event focuses on the research challenges associated with emotions.
  On the program: a series of mini-conferences addressing these issues from the viewpoint of researchers from a variety of backgrounds (medicine, art history, sociology, mathematics, etc.), followed by "discussion game" workshops designed by the TRACES association. These participatory workshops will enable high-school students who have attended the lectures to meet PSL doctoral students and discuss with them the issues that concern them most.
  Through these encounters and exchanges, the aim is to provide high-school students with a vision of scientific research rooted in the challenges of today's world, and to promote the idea that research professions are essential for shaping tomorrow's world.
