What are we doing with the kids during the Easter vacations 2023? This question, you are surely not the only one to ask yourself. So, during these Easter vacations, we take out our joker, the place that pleases all the time, to all the desires and that, no matter the weather: we named the Villette, with its immense park where to let off steam all day long, its open-air exhibitions, its multicolored playgrounds and all the animations which are proposed there.
At the moment, it's the 100% exhibition that occupies a good part of the Grande halle de la Villette (until April 24th only): it puts forward the creations of young graduates of French schools of Fine Arts and the least we can say is that there is something for everyone's taste! Even if you are not big fans of contemporary art in the family, the works are immersive, colorful and there is even a children's trail. Not to mention the works to be discovered outdoors, in the green spaces of the park, in front of the exhibition entrance. Otherwise, there is the exhibition that has just opened and that may mark the year 2023: we named Ramses and the gold of the pharaohs, with historical and unique pieces that have not left Egypt for over 50 years! What to dive into ancient Egypt directly from Paris and live a trip without even moving the capital.
While you're there, take a look at Little Villette, the kids' area of La Villette. Here, you can go to all the free access spaces, open during the school vacations, like the reading room, the game bar, the LEGO table and wall, the little exhibitions... Or enjoy one of the Little Ciné screenings for the little ones, scheduled every Saturday and Sunday at 4:30 pm and 5:30 pm, stroll in the green spaces, such as the Passenger Gardens (open Saturdays and Sundays from 3 pm to 7 pm), the Garden of the Winds and Dunes (0-13 years old), the Dragon Garden (6-12 years old)... During the Easter vacations, Little Villette also organizes Place aux jeux, an event that allows you to play traditional wooden games from all over the world, installed on the square of Little Villette, on Saturday 22, Sunday 23, Wednesday 26, Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 April, from 2:30 to 6:30 pm. Whatever your child's age or passion: during these Easter vacations 2023, let's go to the Villette!
