On the program? A modeling workshop for children from 6 years old to create a giant in their image, to imagine together a world of Giants. Before that, a guided tour of the current exhibition, set up following a residency of the artist Hugo Servanin, is offered to children from 6 years old (accompanied by their parents or any other accompanying adult): it is an opportunity to discover how the artist speaks of his emotions through his works, to learn more about the process of creation, about the techniques... The animations (visit as well as the workshop) are offered on Wednesdays only, that is to say on April 26 and May 3 during these Easter vacations.
Since March 17 and until May 7, 2023, the sculptor Hugo Servanin is both in residence, while being exposed in the heart of the Magasins Généraux, in Pantin. With his installations, he has created the Giants, beings whose life cycle is documented within the exhibition, from their birth to their embalming. The exhibition can be visited from Wednesday to Sunday, from 2 to 6 pm, until May 7, 2023.
The good news is that the entrance as well as the participation to the creative workshop is entirely free for children: what to take advantage of this good plan, but especially, to discover a new exhibition with the youngest while having fun. If you still have some energy left after this cultural outing, the Magasins Généraux are located on the quays of the Canal de l'Ourcq: a good way to walk to the Parc de la Villette or to discover these pedestrian quays.
