After a few years' closure, the Cité des Bébés was modernized, updated and redesigned at the Cité des Sciences in Paris's 19th arrondissement. Designed as a nest, a secure place where babies can evolve in complete safety, the space is intended for toddlers aged from just a few weeks to 23 months, accompanied by an adult.
Here, the focus is onawakening babies, with a place to touch and play, a cocoon for toddlers to gently discover the world around them. Before exploring the Cité des enfants, designed for older children aged 2 to 12, with its water and construction games and its many educational areas, the Cité des Bébés welcomes smaller children and focuses on well-being and the cognitive and sensory-motor development of toddlers.
So, from November 2024, a new series of conferences will be launched at the Cité des Bébés, focusing on early learning through nature, with contributions from artists, researchers and other early childhood professionals. Are we going to discover this kid-friendly spot at the Cité des Sciences this autumn?
