Lynn's Paris, Belleville's cosy, gourmet bubble tea coffee shop - permanently closed

We're off to discover Lynn's Paris, a coffee shop and tea room located on Place Jean Rostand in the 19th arrondissement, a stone's throw from the Belleville metro station. It's open all day, Tuesday to Sunday, 10am to 8pm.

On arrival, the spot reveals a small terrace set in a quiet square with a small, unassuming storefront. And yet, once inside, we're greeted by a deep, beautiful space.

The decor is plant-based, cosy and welcoming, with wooden tables, velvet seats and hanging armchairs. It's the ideal setting for a sweet break, a tea to share or an inexpensive brunch with friends or as a duo. Opposite us, a counter of various pastries and homemade cookies awaits us.

We sit down at a pretty table or on a bench to discover the tea room's menu. It's a short brunch-style menu of seasonal salads, foccacias and toasts. Croque-monsieur and udon soup are also on the menu. The lunchtime brunch menu is ultra-affordable. Count €13.90 for a main course + a homemade dessert + a drink.

For our part, we opt for the Tori Salad (composed of chicken, spinach sprouts, Italian pasta, radishes, broccoli, cherry tomatoes, croutons and homemade vinaigrette sauce), the Foccacia Salmo (smoked salmon, avocado, lettuce, cherry tomatoes and feta) and theAvocado Toast. All served with a Macha Latte and a good mango and tapioca pearl bubble tea.

Everything is fresh and made to order. The portions are generous and the teas very good. A bubble tea + patisserie option is available for €10.

For dessert, we opted for a chocolate almond cookie and a Tasha, a pretty Isfahan-style pastry consisting of pink lychee mousse with a joconde cookie. A fresh, light dessert to round off the meal.

In short, if you're looking for a nice coffee shop for a weekday brunch or a bubble tea accompanied by a good pastry as a bonus, this is an address to take note of.
