For Easter 2024, Galeries Lafayette Le Gourmet has pulled out all the stops! Not one, not two, not three, but 10 chocolate and pastry chefs have been invited to come up with original, exclusive and oh-so-chocolatey creations for the occasion.
This is a real godsend, because instead of being scattered all over Paris, Easter chocolates from all the major chocolate houses have been brought together at a single address: the Galeries Lafayette temple of gastronomy, on Boulevard Haussmann, right in the heart of the capital.
We got a sneak preview of some of Le Gourmet's exclusive Easter 2024 creations. Which one are you going to fall for?
This year, pastry chef Yann Couvreurhas created a delicious white chocolate egg with lime and coconut marshmallows. 12.50€.
Historic chocolatier and confectioner Louis Fouquet, who recently set up shop on Avenue Montaigne, has created a regressive bar for Le Gourmet, depicting a hen followed by her chicks, and topped with an addictive almond and caramel praline!
Once again, Belgian chef Pierre Marcolini has decided to work seeds and dried fruit into his Easter creations. For Galeries Lafayette Le Gourmet, he offers a box of 12 small praline eggs with seeds, topped with a chocolate shell and available in six gourmet recipes:
Easter 2024 has once again inspired Yannick Alléno and Aurélien Rivoire! This year, the chefs take their flagship creation, the rocking egg, and garnish it with an ultra-flavorsome puffed rice praline. With a few extra centimetres, the colorful egg retains its childlike playfulness.
Plaq, the Parisian chocolatier-torrefactor and expert in slow-crafted handmade chocolate, unveils an exclusive Le Gourmet egg in 58% pure milk chocolate, topped with a generous praline and rich with French peanuts. A very cute creation, sold in a stylish collectible chick box.
For this exclusive 2024 creation, Jean-Paul Hévin reinterprets his iconic Easter egg in 68% cocoa dark chocolate, topped with small praline eggs and dark chocolate frit. The man who was named "World's Best Chocolatier-Pâtissier 2023-2024", has imagined an egg adorned with chocolate pastilles displaying the capital's emblematic monuments.
Aïe, aïe, aïe difficult to choose!
