La Balade sentimentale du Bas Belleville is based on a digital collection of residents' stories of life and exile, led by director Judith Depaule's team. This documentary base reflects the neighborhood's collective memory.
From these fragments of history, which take the form of texts, videos, sounds and photos, Judith Depaule has woven threads of exploration by the witness's region of origin, by the period of arrival in Belleville, threads on art or gastronomy... A veritable sensitive cartography of Belleville, these threads trace a new invisible architecture of the neighborhood that only asks to be revealed during the Balade sentimentale.
Alone or in pairs, let yourself drift through the neighborhood to discover the stories that shape it. Bring your charged smartphone, a pair of headphones and download the Dérive app onto your smartphone. Meet up at the Maison des métallos for the start of the tour!
