As usual, the Journées du Patrimoine (Heritage Days) are back in mid-September 2024, offering guided tours of places both well-known and little-known to the general public. It's the perfect opportunity to visit places that are unusual, secret or open only on this particular weekend of the year: churches, museums, historic monuments, cultural sites... Discover the great monuments that make up Paris, those that have left their mark on France's history, or those that bear witness to a past to be treasured for future generations. Outside Paris, in the heart of the suburbs, you'll find a wide range of tours to help you discover the little-known heritage right on your doorstep.
So, let's head for theSeine-Saint-Denis département for these Journées du Patrimoine 2024, and more specifically for the town of Bobigny, located in the working-class suburbs to the northeast of Paris. Rich in culture, Bobigny is also known for one of the department's largest parks, Parc de la Bergère, located on the banks of the Canal de l'Ourcq.
A town with a notable industrial past, Bobigny was also one of the first municipalities in France to elect a woman, Marthe Tesson, to its municipal council in 1925: discover the program of visits and events for these 41st Heritage Days in Bobigny!
