Like every year, the Journées du Patrimoine (Heritage Days ) return this Saturday, September 21 and Sunday, September 22, 2024: a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the vestiges of the past, discover hidden treasures, and feel the magic of places steeped in history. Castles, museums, churches, emblematic buildings and institutions usually closed to the public open their doors especially for the occasion, and reveal all their secrets. What's on the program? Take part in guided tours, creative workshops or attend demonstrations and events for the whole family.

Theatre performance of "Une réception à Bel-Ebat au début du XXe siècle" by the Chauffe-Brûle company at the Manoir de Bel-Ebat. You're invited to a reception in the time of French classical music publisher Jacques Durand. As you stroll through the rooms, you'll come face-to-face with composers and their works.
Students and teachers from Avon Musique et Culture offer a recital at the Manoir de Bel-Ebat.
Four guided tours are organized on Sunday September 22, especially for the European Heritage Days. Tours depart at 11am, 1:30pm, 2:30pm and 3:30pm and last 30 minutes. The manor house is also open to the public from 10am to 5pm.

Discover the final part of the "Avon from its origins to its future" exhibition cycle with "Avon towards modernity: developments from the 19th to the 21st century". This exhibition explores the major upheavals in a small market-gardening commune with the arrival of the railway in the mid-19th century, and the great historical upheavals of the 19th and 20th centuries. Avon underwent a metamorphosis from a market-gardener village to a resort town, before becoming the city of nearly 14,000 inhabitants and many neighborhoods that it is today.
