It's the perfect time to conquer the treasures of the Île-de-France region and plunge into the heart of history. In Essonne (France ), the Château de Dourdan is an impressive fortified castle, a vestige of the medieval era, which houses a museum and Neo-Gothic decor. Built around 1220, this monument has stood the test of time and still stands proudly in the Hurepoix region.

On the occasion of the centenary of the death of Joseph Guyot, owner of the Château de Dourdan from 1864 to 1924, the Musée de Dourdan pays tribute to this emblematic figure of the 19th-century scholar.
The exhibition "Joseph Guyot, le rêve d'un châtelain" (Joseph Guyot, a squire's dream) invites visitors to rediscover the work of Joseph Guyot in the light of the artistic currents running through the 19th century, from which he borrowed medieval and historicist expressions.
Blacksmith, basket maker, tailor... The Compagnons Philippiens take over the courtyard of the Château to present a variety of trades from yesteryear, some of which have now disappeared. Working with wool, wood and lace, these craftsmen bring these skills back to life for a journey through time and history.
Demonstrations accompanied by an educational mini-farm, an exhibition of vintage cars and motorcycles, and a food court.
