If this trend continues, Paris and its region should record over 23 million tourists in 2017, a remarkable upturn after a moribund 2016 forecasting a noteworthy 2018!

According to the figures gave by Paris Tourist Office, Paris attracts tourists again. This clear touristic improvement is good news meaning that the security measures set up after the 2015 terror attacks reassured tourists.

If Japanese, Italians and Russians are not yet really rest assured, other tourists come back and in great number, even more than the previous years: a 31% increase for Americans, 40% for Chinese and 24% for Asians (excluding Chinese and Japanese). And French visitors are not left out!

Chairman of Paris Tourist Office Pierre Schapira explains: “business tourism and international tourism are the two main drivers of the growth” but leisure tourism has not yet returned to pre-attack terrors level.

With the opening of the biggest Convention Congress in Europe at Porte de Versailles, the yearly events and the oncoming key events such as the opening of the Pinault foundation at the Produce Exchange in Paris, the Rugby World Cup in 2023, the Olympic Games in 2024, Paris makes evert effort to become a yearly destination worldwide!
